Since 2007, Feast of Justice has maintained a food bank that seeks to address hunger within the Northeast Philadelphia community and beyond. The organization heavily relies on donations from the public, as they served 35,125 households in the year 2021-- which is equivalent to 1.47 million pounds of food! Appointments may be made online, but certain hours are allotted for "Walk-up" interactions if space allows.

JCFS graciously offers mobile pop-up clothing shops at various host sites, completely free to Philadelphians in need of clothing, food, and social services. Visitors are permitted to shop for 10 free clothing items per visit and will additionally leave with locally-sourced produce and pantry staples. Locations and hours for these weekly events may be found on their Facebook and Instagram accounts.

The Pennsylvania state website allows submission requests for non-certified copies of birth certificates, and provides adoptees with a genealogy fact sheet and link to the PA Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network.

Are you tired of coming up empty? Searching but not finding? Search Angels is a wonderful organization of dedicated volunteers and researchers who aim to provide answers for all adoptees. There are various search levels available, including a free basic search option, but please note that higher level cases will be prioritized.
